KBH Behavior Analyst Fieldwork Program

Supervision, Training, Mentorship,
& Hands-on Experience

KBH’s Behavior Analyst Fieldwork Program provides supervision, training, mentorship, and hands-on experience to those pursuing their Board-Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) certification.

The Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®), the credentialing body for BCBAs®, has established the following requirements for those obtaining their certification: A master’s degree in ABA or a related field, specific behavior analysis coursework, supervised fieldwork experience, and a certification exam.

Behavior Analyst Fieldwork Program Offerings

In alignment with the BACB’s® certification requirements, the Behavior Analyst Fieldwork Program
provides students the following:

Up to $10,000 in Tuition Assistance

  • Accrual of Concentrated Fieldwork Hours
  • Ongoing Mentorship and Training
  • Group Supervision Opportunities
  • Direct Supervision with Clients
  • Professional Development Training
  • Hands-On Fieldwork Experience Hours
  • Feedback on Activities/Deliverables
  • Completion of BACB® documentation
  • Fieldwork Hours Tracking System
  • System for Tracking Fieldwork Experience Hours




  • Begin as Student until completion of hours accrual
  • • Meet with supervisor ~1hr per month
  • Begin fieldwork hours
  • Gain experience and knowledge with the current BCBA Task List/Test Content Outline
  • Observe & practice with significant supervision behavior analytic work (e.g., assessments, staff training, program writing)




  • Apply for Apprenticeship when ~10-12mo from anticipated test date
  • Paid time for Apprentice activities, up to 6hrs per month
  • Meet with supervisor ~4hrs month
  • Practice & complete with limited supervision behavior analytic work (e.g., assessments, staff training, program writing)
  • Complete additional KBH Apprentice Competencies with hands-on training
  • • Exam preparation

Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility Criteria:

    • Active RBT credential
    • Completion of or current enrollment in a Master’s degree program from a qualifying institution (see BCBA Handbook for information on qualifying institutions)
    • Completion of or current enrollment in behavior-analytic coursework
    • Has not yet met BACB requirement for fieldwork hours

Application Requirements:

    • Proof  of enrollment/completion of graduate level ABA coursework
    • Current GPA
    • Current fieldwork hours tracker with up-to-date hours accrual
    • 2 examples of written work (skill acquisition program, behavior reduction, staff training protocol, etc.)
    • Optional letters of recommendation
